In 2006 our family emigrated from the United States to Belize, Central America. Letters to the Old Country is our attempt to share our experiences with our family and friends that we left behind.

Family of four
A good friend of mine posted a question here. Yes we are a family of four. However we do have a nice couple living with us.
When we first moved here we were chatting with our friend Mr. Ruben and he was worried about his son and his new job. His son's hours change from week to week. Sometimes he is not able to catch a bus or taxi to or from work because of the hour. They live in a village, and the buses and taxis stop running at a certain time. We live in town and the taxis and buses run a bit longer, so we offered for him to stay with us. So he did. It was nice having him stay with us. Well a year or so later his wife was finished with school and so she moved in with him. They are a very nice, sweet couple so we like having them here.
We are now building our new house so we asked if they wanted to move with us in our new house. We are building 3 bedrooms. We like having people stay with us. And they are a very nice couple.
It is nice to be able to help them by letting them stay with us because his family has helped us in lots of ways and has treated us like family. They have let us be a part of their already big family. For that we are so thankful. Here are a few pictures of our friends in Belize.
